World Suicide Prevention Day is a day dedicated to raising awareness, fostering change and providing a sense of community and understanding for people with lived or living experience.
Every individual and community are at a different stage in their understanding and awareness of suicide prevention. No matter where you stand, there are many ways to be involved in World Suicide Prevention Day.

- An e-Learning course is available through Black Country Woman’s Aid. This helps professionals understand the links between domestic abuse and suicide. The 1.5-hour course, delivered on behalf of safe & sound, Dudley’s Community Safety Partnership explores the links, as well as how to support a victim of domestic abuse effectively and safely. - For World Suicide Prevention Day, Samaritans have developed a resource “Suicidal thoughts can be interrupted” to find out more go to the Samaritans Website
