Support for Funeral Directors, Faith Leaders and Celebrants

Funeral Directors, Faith Leaders and Celebrants

Public Health promote the message that grief is a normal response to death.  Most people will manage to live well with their grief with the help of family, friends, good neighbours and trusted work colleagues.  Some people may require further support such as specialised counselling, but will still benefit from the support of people close to them.

Collectively, we can help those who have been bereaved with kindness and care.  It is also helpful to know where to find further help and support for people who are bereaved.

Please visit the Healthy Dudley bereavement pages which will help support you to offer additional personalised support.

Topics include:

  • Self-help for learning to live with grief
  • Local and national organisations offering support
  • Bereavement affecting people who have dementia or learning disability
  • Death of a child
  • Miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal death
