Health professional care during pregnancy

After a positive pregnancy test, you do not need to contact your GP. Instead, please arrange your booking appointment with a midwife so that you are seen by 10 weeks of pregnancy. You can register your pregnancy with Russells Hall Hospital community midwifery team by completing this form.

Along with regular midwife appointments you will also meet your Health Visitor at about your 28th week of pregnancy.

Here is more information about your antenatal care and the appointments you will have while pregnant.

For help and guidance in your parenting journey from conception to two years old, download a copy of ‘A guide for expectant parents – Our first 1001 days together’ by visiting the Dudley Parenting website. It provides lots of practical advice, hints, and tips to help support you.
